I spent a good hour or so with 2nd year School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA – UBC) students this afternoon. They are doing a design studio on Grandview Park and Britannia Centre, and I was there to give them the historical background to the development of both.
My primary message to them was the importance of speaking with residents and listening to them about major changes to neighbourhoods.
I had a good time; I hope they did too.
