In October 1945, RCAF veteran Norman S. Gregory and Stan Brewer built 2086 Commercial as headquarters for their new moving company. They handled “moving and light delivery.” They started with “one truck of ancient vintage.” In February 1946 they instituted a daily courier run to and from downtown. Stan Brewer’s wife, Hazel, worked as a stenographer for the company. For much of the time, it shared space with Walkinay Wood Works. In April 1950 the business was sold to Felix Drewitt and F. Torgeman.Felix drove a van and his wife Elizabeth worked as dispatcher. By this time the company had 5 new trucks, 2 of which were padded furniture vans. In 1951, the company moved to 2145 Commercial.
The northern half of the lot remained as a garden until demolition in 2017.
