BP A-6324 1923/8/4 to J.B. Elliogolt, $6,000. Building renovation in the winter of 1944/34. The renovation completely “modernized” the store. The front was completely changed by “lowering the windows in accord with modern trends and practices and which provides show windows … The front is completed with the generous use of black vitrolite and the rock candy tiles at the entrance furnish a bunch of colour.” The interior was expanded to the full depth of the lot.
